Pack? Nah, make a tunnel.

Instead of working, this is how I spent my day. I told myself over and over that all day would be spent packing. I started off pretty well, going to my parents' house to get more boxes. But when I got there, I went to lunch with Megan. Then, I came home and worked on a Sodoku puzzle, crossword, and word jumble. Next came mind numbing hours of tv, followed by an hour of Rock Band. When I FINALLY decided to get up and start packing, I only managed to put together five boxes before building a tunnel for my cats and I to play in! Ah what a day...

Twins

So in theory this was a pretty cool picture. I made my mom get in it because we were both wearing turquoise and we matched the sky. My sister walked out and thought I had crashed my car because we seemed to be examining it closely to take a picture. She thought we were stupid once we clued her in to what I was doing. My mom tried to get her involved, "It's for her blog! It's her daily photo," but no luck. In theory the colors were even more vibrant and the car wasn't dirty. The sun got in the way of what the picture ACTUALLY was going to look like. Silly glare.

Night Under Construction

I'm working on it! I realize this isn't a great picture, eh, a good picture. It was stormy last night and I wanted to capture it since it was an exciting event (it NEVER rains), BUT I didn't have a tripod nor the skills of night photography. Oh well, like I said, it's under construction.

Apple Rock.

It's been far too long since I played Rock Band. Tonight I finally had a spare minute to play a few challenges on expert. After my 29% completion of Panic Attack I gave up, took two advil, and started watching Big Bang Theory. There, much more relaxing.

Buyer's Remorse

On Saturday Zac, Laura, Brandon and I went to the outlets in San Marcos. We ALL had talked about saving money and definitely NOT spending money on purses, especially Coach purses. So what do we do? We walk into the Coach outlet, which was absolute madness. Picture hundreds of people in one store, shoulder to shoulder, smelly, hot, white people in the minority. Yep, it was that kind of a shopping experience. As I'm walking around, clearly disenchanted with the merchandise, I see a brown patent leather purse begging to be picked up. I felt the pressure to keep up with everybody else who had at least five purses on each arm, when I had zero! I grabbed it, looked at the price, and ran to get in line just so I could get the hell out of the store. Retail $348, Outlet $298, Clearance $99, 50% off $45. Yes, I got a ~$400 purse for $45. How could I NOT get it? I couldn't even take it out of the bag until today when I finally left the apartment because I felt so guilty. ... and that my friends, is why I'm in debt up to my eyeballs (insert catchy commercial catchphrase there).

ilikecars.

Seen on a red Mini Cooper at Fry's in NW Austin. Love it. It personifies who a Mini Cooper owner is. One cannot be a serious fuddy duddy (hah) and drive a Mini. It just can't happen.

Besties

I LOVE my Tina. After she moved to Philly with her husband, Peter, I thought our friendship would sizzle out, but thankfully, I was wrong! She came back to Austin this weekend, and we met up at Trudy's, only the BEST place to drink in Austin. Mexican martinis anyone? (Plus, 2 strawberry margaritas.) Not only did we score on a parking spot (which is almost impossible to find on a Friday night) AT THE FRONT OF THE RESTAURANT! but then we managed to slide into two primo spots at the bar. Lucky night? We thought so. It was wonderful to catch up after so many months of being apart. When I go out it HAS to be imprompto, I can't plan on doing things because I always tend to back out at the last minute. Lastly, see our twinkiness? Today was "wear red for heart disease" and Tina and her mom were the ONLY people I knew who were also wearing red. Ahh... we were meant to be friends. Love ya Tina!

One.Zero.Zero.

Hooray for the 100th day of school!! Days like today remind me of just how memorable school can be and that it’s my job to make these days extra special for the kids. I was stressing about today, but once it got here, I just relaxed and went with the flow. It was fantastic! I honestly can say I could not have done this without the incredible support of my parents. Yay CRE.

Nick & Norah

So Zac and I watched Nick & Norah's Ultimate Playlist and I was honestly giddy the entire time. I do believe I might possibly have a teensie eensie little crush on Michael Cera. His dorkiness is so adorable and ah, I love it. The best part? Zac is just like him!

Accomplishment

Tonight I finished my December 2007 Glamour magazine. This is a small accomplishment for me. I have been backlogged in magazines since June 2007 and am now just a year behind! If I can read three magazines a month for the next four months I will let myself renew my subscriptions. I canceled them thinking, why get new ones, when I'm still reading the old? Waste of money and paper anyway when you can find anything and everything online. So, Dec 2007 Glamour, thanks for waiting by my side for a year. I enjoyed it!

Hi February.

I could not wait to decorate my classroom for February. I had no idea just how important these Valentine decorations were to my students. While they were at specials I felt like Cupid, shooting my little hearts all over the room. As soon as they came back I was like their hero. Lots of grateful hugs were to be had. I love February.

No image found.

Oops. I'm lame. Day 4 of my 365 project and I already skipped a day! I had ample opportunities for fantastic pictures yet I took zero! Science Fair project, horrible experience at Thundercloud Subs (don't go to the Parmer/Mopac location EVER!), Superbowl party, bbq, Tiff's Treats (heaven on earth)... and yet, nothing. So, image not found (due to image not taken).
